Eyebrow & Eyelash Transplantation

Eyebrow and eyelash transplantation is one of the most common procedures. The roots taken with the FUE technique are separated one by one and planted in the shedding area. Hair follicles can be taken from different parts of the body for eyebrows. The most suitable places for this planting in the body are the nape. Hair follicles can also be taken from the armpit or genital area from people who do not have hair follicles on the nape. Since the hair on the arms is very thin, it can be very sensitive on the eyebrows. For this reason, arm hair is not preferred for transplantation. The direction of hair growth is also very important. We recommend that eyebrow and eyelash transplantation be done by an expert in this field.

After the transplantation, the patient is asked to use an antibiotic and moisturizing eye ointment after washing her eyes with distilled water twice a day for 10 days. Although it varies depending on racial and genetic characteristics and gender, there are normally 100 upper eyelashes and 60 lower eyelashes. In eyelash transplants, FUE containing 20-70 single hairs is usually sufficient. There is no need to cut the FUEs planted in the first 2-4 months after sowing. However, at the end of this period, they should be shortened every 4-6 weeks in FUEs taken from the legs and every 2-3 weeks in FUEs taken from the back of the neck due to premature elongation.
